Alpha Xi Delta’s national philanthropy, Autism Speaks, is a very important part of the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta and the sisters strive to hold and participate in as many philanthropic events as our schedule fits. We not only support Autism Speaks, but also other organizations from our previous philanthropy, Choose Children.
The sisters of the Gamma Sigma Chapter host many events in order to raise money for Autism Speaks. We annually host Xi Man Competition on campus every spring. This is an event is where gentlemen come to compete in a pageant like atmosphere with to raise awareness of autism. Also, last Fall we held Late Night Breakfast delivery as another huge fundraiser for our philanthropy, which we intend to hold again this coming calendar year. Other events we host are Canning around the Greenville area, Blue Out games with Thiel sports teams, and light it up blue throughout campus! The sisters also support a little boy named Gavé in the Philippians through the Compassion Organization.
The Gamma Sigma chapter holds philanthropy very close to our hearts and believes that it is one of the most important things to do as a sisterhood.
