Chapter History

The Gamma Sigma Chapter has been a part of Thiel College Greek Life since 1959.

    

   The Xi house at Thiel College is located at 60 College Ave.  It can house up to Seven sisters. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, and living room.

  • Alpha Xi Delta was founded on April 17, 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, IL.
  • Alpha Xi Delta has 112 collegiate chapters and 1 colony
  • Alpha Xi Delta has over 150,000 initiated members
  • Autism Speaks was launched as Alpha Xi Delta's new national philanthropy on April 2, 2009 - World Autism Day
  • The Gamma Sigma chapter at Thiel was formerly the local sorority of Alpha Phi Delta, but changed to Alpha Xi Delta in the year 1959
